| PrismEmail is a service of Vault
Information Services LLC (VIS), a Colorado Limited Liability Company.
VIS was founded in 1993. In our early days, we were one of
Denver's first Internet Service Providers (ISP) long before
the Internet craze began. By the time America Online registered
its domain, we had been providing Internet service in the
Denver-area for more than a year. By 1998 we had anticipated
the consolidation of ISPs as well as an eventual move to high-bandwidth
cable and wireless connectivity. Given the option of investing
growing sums of money in a market that would be less and less
profitable, we sold off our dial-up business and focused on
website hosting as well as consulting projects.
In 1997, VIS entered the embedded market by introducing specialized
development software for the MCS-51/8052 microcontroller in
the form of our 8052
Simulator for Windows. That summer we also launched 8052.com,
a site dedicated to 8052 development which is still the premier
technical site for 8052 information. In 2000, we released
Pinnacle
52--a full Integrated Development Environment for the
8052.
In 2001, VIS launched a technical site for information related
to barcodes, BarcodeIsland.com.
In the tradition of 8052.com, this site targets the technical
community that works with barcodes. The site provides a large
amout of technical information on barcodes that previously
was scattered over many sites all over the world.
In 2002, VIS was subject to the negative effects of spam first-hand and
realized it was definitely a growing problem in need of a solution.
Development began on Prism Email which was completed and made available
to the public in spring 2003.
VIS was on the Internet before AOL, Yahoo, NetZero, Usa.net,
Prodigy, Lycos, Hotmail, UUNet, Amazon, and eBay. We were
here before all of them and we'll be here for years to come. |
