- Click on the "Menu" button on your Palm to get to the drop-down menu.
- Select the "Options" menu (the right-most menu).
- Select "Edit accounts" from the dro-down menu.
- Select the email account from the list that you wish to filter through PrismEmail.
- Select the "Server" tab near the top of the window.
- You should see the following window displayed on your Palm. You need only change the
change the following three fields in the "Incoming Mail" section of the screen:
- POP3 Server: You should enter prismemail.com into this field.
- Username: You should enter the PrismEmail username you chose when signing up with PrismEmail.
- Password: You should enter the PrismEmail password you chose with signing up with PrismEmail.
- Then click on the "Fetch" tab near the top of the window. You should see the following screen:
- You should then do one of the following based on how you will be using SnapperMail:
- SnapperMail is your primary email program. If SnapperMail is your primary email
program then you should make sure "Delete messages from server" is selected as well as the
"When Fully Retrieved" option. This will delete the message from PrismEmail after it has
been completely downloaded by SnapperMail since you will not be downloading it elsewhere.
- SnapperMail is your secondary email program. If SnapperMail is your secondary email
program that you use to check email but you normally then download it to a PC email client
then you should make sure "Delete messages from server" is NOT selected. That way, when
SnapperMail downloads email to your Palm it will leave the messages on the server so that they
may subsequently be downloaded by your PC. IMPORTANT NOTE: If you use this technique
be sure to download your email to your PC within two days of downloading it to your Palm.
After two days PrismEmail will automatically purge email that has been downloaded to your
Palm even if it hasn't subsequently been downloaded to your PC.
- Click on the OK button to confirm the changes and close the Preferences window.
