- Will you spam me? Will you sell
my personal information to 3rd parties?
Absolutely not. Never. You will optionally receive one email from us per night that lists all the spam we
filtered in the last 24 hours so that you can make sure it was really spam; we also might notify you occasionally
if there is any significant change to our service or to ask you if you want to renew. Unlike some other anti-spam
services, we will NOT send you any unsolicited promotions of any kind, nor will we make our list available to any
3rd party, period.
- Do you have relations with spammers?
Will you let certain spam through?
No. We don't have any relationships with any spammers and never will. No spammer has a "special deal" with
us by which we allow their spam to reach you. We block every spam that we are able to identify.
- Is my personal and credit card
information safe?
Yes. If, after your 30-day free-trial, you decide to subscribe to our service and provide your billing
information, that information will remain on the Internet server only for a matter of minutes. The data is
promptly downloaded to an offline server that handles all billing and personal customer information. Your
credit card information, billing address, and user name will NOT remain on our Internet server for more than
a few minutes. Thus even if someone were able to break into our Internet server, they would not be able to
establish your name, address, credit card number, or any other personal information. That information simply
isn't kept on an Internet-accessible server.
- Is my email safe with you?
Yes. It is important that you trust any company through which your email passes. We do not monitor the
content of your email. Our anti-spam service filters email in real-time by an automated system. Email that
is judged to be spam is held on our server for 2 days to give you time to review it in the event it wasn't
really spam. Additionally, email that you download from us is retained on our server for 2 days so that if
it was spam and you wish to report it you can do so by simply clicking on a link that is added to the email
headers of each message you download. If you click on that link, you are stating that the message was spam
and made it through and we are able to review that message and improve our filters. Otherwise, all old email
is deleted within 2 days.
- Will you release my personal information?
We will only release your personal information to a legitimate government agency when presented with an
official request or court order from same. However, it is unlikely that we would receive such a request--it
is more likely your POP3 provider would receive such a request, not us who do nothing more than filter your
inbox for you.
- Do you maintain backups of my email?
Absolutely not. The only things we backup are your filters, billing history, and account. Your email is
never included in any backup. The reason for this is two-fold: 1) It is not practical for us to make a backup
copy of every email that comes through our server. The volume of mail involved would quickly overwhelm our
ability to make backups. 2) From a user security perspective, it's better that we NOT make backups of your
email. Email should be private and held and backed-up by the recepient. If you click "delete" on a given
email, you should be comfortable in the knowledge it is gone and that no-one made a copy along the way.
